Get started with testing your landing page

Your work on your page doesn't end when you launch your product. This is actually the time when you want to make adjustments as people start visiting, and sales come in.

The first day of your launch is usually the best time to do this. It's when people are excited, and you have a lot more traffic than on the days between the launch and the last day. Plus, if you can optimize this page as much as possible on day one, you'll enjoy better sales at the moment of the launch.

But the question is, what do you want to adjust, and how do you know if your adjustment is making things worse or better? The answer is to perform some A/B tests.

If this is new to you, A/B tests on a landing page are like setting up a race between two versions to see which page performs best. You create two versions of your sales page: Page A and Page B. Each page can have different images, headlines, or button colors. Visitors to the website are randomly shown either Page A or Page B. You then track which page leads to more sales or sign-ups. By comparing the results, you can see which version is the winner - that's the one you keep to improve your sales. It's a simple way to ensure your page is as effective as possible.

Below you can note what you want to test and what changes you want to make. Think of as many things as you can. Prepare now, so you don't waste time thinking about what and how to change. You launch with versions 1 and 2 being tested equally. Choose a winner after X number of visitors, and then test versions 2 and 3. Here's an example of how to record what you need to test.
